What is my ability? What is my gift?
Many of us find ourselves a little stuck in life wondering if we are doing the right thing or living to our full potential, this wondering can come down to whether we believe we are living our true purpose.
We are all one and with that, we are already living a purpose by interacting, helping and serving one another, but we must be consciously aware of this service to others for it to feel like a purpose.
Our own abilities and gifts come in many different shapes and forms. As for spiritual practice, we all have the gift of insight and we are all able to use this gift it just takes practice and discovery.
Your only true gift is to be your true and authentic self. This is being yourself regardless of your surroundings or upbringing, this is following your instinct and intuition and letting it guide you, this is following your intuition even when others do not believe or agree with it and it is using yourself to serve and help others.
We are all unique, no one else has lived your life and no one else can see through your eyes or feelings. This is your gift, being your true authentic self and sharing this self with the rest of the world is your ability, it is all of our abilities.
Knowing what you should be doing with your time whilst being your true authentic self should be discovered. Do you have a time when everything seemed to resonate with your core? Something you truly believed in and loved doing – this is you could do, however, purposes in terms of things we do can change as we flow through life.
A few things you should ask yourself regularly:
- What do I enjoy doing? (if you enjoy it you can give it your everything and that passion will be of service to others)
- What energizes you?
- What are your best qualities?
- What can you help or teach others?
- What matters to you?
All of these questions can help you to find out what your ability and gifts are. A more practical way of figuring out your ability and gift is simply by meditating and sitting with this thought, open up and look within yourself and then follow your intuition.
The most important thing is to be your true authentic self, do not be afraid and do things as a service to others, from a place of love not as a service to self for gratification or financial gain. Get out there and just explore, explore like a child with open eyes, an open mind and a big curiosity for life.
Sending you love and light,
