What is mindfulness?
Being mindful is a way of living whereby you are present in every moment. We often rush through life and miss what is really going on. Believe me, I have done it, I have finished a long day of work, got home and then sat with the family; whilst my physical body has been there my mind has been in a million different places. You might spend time worrying about something that has already happened or worrying about the future, either way, you are not in the present moment.
One great way to be mindful is to simply slow down and become aware of your body and your mind, you can start by focusing on each of your senses and use breathing techniques. Being aware and present in every moment allows us to live a relaxed meaningful life without missing out.
So how can you use crystals to help live mindfully?
Crystals all have a unique vibrational energy and different spiritual properties. We can use these properties to help us with our mindfulness practice. The crystals can simply be worn or carried with you as you go about your day. If you are practicing mindful meditation crystals make a great focal point to help calm the mind and begin meditation.

This bright stone comes in many forms – the most popular being clear. As a stone of clarity, this is fantastic for mindfulness. By removing dissonance and shifting stagnant energies this stone is a great way to clear the mind and be aware of everything that is happening in the present moment.
The Stone Of Emotion
This playful stone is known to enhance creativity and really tap into your emotions. Connecting with the Heart Chakra this stone is able to increase a sense of security which can help to relax the mind.

You might not think of Obsidian as a mindfulness crystal but we believe it plays an important role. Being mindful is about being fully present and at peace. In order to make this as simple and comfortable as possible, we need to put our mind at rest and feel comfortable with who we are, past present and future. Obsidian is known for bringing things into light and looking deep at ourselves. Being mindful and at peace can also include letting things go and not holding on, which Obsidian is sure to help you with. Use Obsidian to help you re-balance and shift negative energies.

This ancient stone has been used for many years to encourage wisdom. This stone really is a mindful must-have, it is known for its calming effects and ability to calm overactive thoughts. We all slip up and let our minds run from time to time but this stone is great at quietening a busy mind.
