Question:

After having a traumatic life with a lot of unfortunate situations and later mental health issues how can I not live in the past. When I live spiritually my life is a lot better. I have had to cut people out of my life and now I feel as though I am a bad person. I think I am sensitive to other people and I love crystals maybe I could use crystals to help with protection. Please can I have some life advice.

Answer:

Thank you for sharing with us, firstly I am so sorry to hear about your past traumas. I understand that you have been through some tough times but like you said yourself you do not want to be living in the past. 


As hard as it is forgiveness is the best way to move forward and into the present moment. Forgiveness does not mean forgetting but it is allowing yourself to heal. Whenever you are reminded of your past or things that bring you pain try to react from the Heart Chakra. Send forgiveness to yourself, others and the situation, allow gratitude for the person you have become today and how you experiences can allow you to help others and connect with other people going through tough times. By connecting to the Heart Chakra we fill ourselves with loving energy and this can help us to heal. Never resent or hold back your feeling and do not hold onto them, understand and accept what you are feeling and then send yourself loving energy and gratitude whilst releasing these feelings and letting them go. It can take some practice but the more you do this the easier it will become and soon enough you will be thinking this way without even realising. 

It is fantastic that a spiritual path has made your life a lot better and it is important that you continue to practice if it is beneficial to your life. Even if it is something as small as praying once a day, saying what you are grateful for or meditating, one small piece of spiritual practice everyday can help you to feel relaxed, calm and balanced. If your life is better when you live spiritually it is important to make this a priority as self-care is important.

You mentioned that you have needed to cut someone out of your life. This can be a really tough thing to do but when there is a toxic relationship in your life it is important for you to take action and look after yourself. If you felt that nothing more could be done and cutting them out has made your life better then there is no need to feel bad. Cutting someone out does not have to be forever and if they were a true friend they would understand why you are needing this time away from them. Never feel resent for your actions or feelings, you did what you thought was the right thing to do for you and there is nothing wrong with that. When you are feeling bad once again, let yourself feel these emotions, accept them and then let them go and send yourself love and gratitude. 


There are a number of amazing ways we can alter our vibrational energies, protect our energies and cleanse ourselves.
